Join our Data to Analytics team as a Senior Data to Analytics Specialist (Data Steward). In this role, you will support data ingestion, validation, governance, quality monitoring and publication of enterprise data products. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure that data assets are accurate, properly documented and fit for business use.
Tasks & Responsibilities
As a Senior Data to Analytics Specialist, you will be involved in:
Data Validation & User Acceptance Testing
• Execute user acceptance testing (UAT), perform source-to-target data validation using SQL, investigate discrepancies, and ensure data delivered to the platform meets business requirements. Analyze data mappings, validate complex data structures and support reconciliation between source systems and curated data layers.
Data Governance & Metadata Management
• Maintain metadata, business glossary objects, and governance documentation in Collibra while ensuring assigned data products comply with enterprise data governance standards. Support publication requests and maintenance of governance catalog information for enterprise data products.
Data Quality Monitoring & Improvement
• Configure and maintain Data Quality monitoring for master and transactional data products. Monitor agreed Data Quality KPIs, support investigation and resolution of identified data issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of data quality processes. Maintain and document Data Quality rules and validation logic for assigned data products. Support Data Quality assessments and validation activities for new, changed and existing data products.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Operational Support
• Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Product Teams, Business Experts and IT stakeholders to support data product lifecycle activities, resolve issues, and drive effective communication across functions. Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing and operational excellence within the Data to Analytics organization.
About our future employee
You should be fluent in English (minimum B2 level) and have at least 4 years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
Additionally, we are looking for:
Must Have
• University degree in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar.
• Strong practical SQL skills, including joins, data reconciliation and source-to-target validation.
• Experience working with relational databases and complex data structures.
• Experience in data validation, testing, data quality or data management activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Structured, proactive and self-organized working style.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Collibra or similar Data Governance platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake or cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with SAP, MDG, FRED or other enterprise data environments.
• Knowledge of master data domains such as Business Partner, Material or Product.
• Experience with Data Quality monitoring and KPI tracking.
• Knowledge of Jira and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
