Key Responsibilities
Group Lead – Data & Process Management drives transformational business impact by masterfully leading cross-functional synergies across Global Business Units and Global Team Management Centers. Through decisive strategic leadership and operational excellence, this role revolutionizes complex analytics ecosystems into powerful value-creation engines. By architecting and optimizing multi-layered team structures, motivating diverse talent, and implementing process efficiencies, the Group Lead is also responsible for fostering new engagement models. Their exceptional people management skills cultivate high-performing teams that elevate analytical capabilities, while ensuring stakeholder alignment across organizational boundaries to accelerate critical business outcomes and competitive advantage. Through strategic demand management, they expertly prioritize data strategy initiatives, balance resource allocation against business priorities, and implement governance frameworks that maximize value delivery while maintaining operational excellence.
People
• Acts as a strategic thought partner to Commercial Analytics operations across Global Business Units, providing insights that drive business decisions and strategy.
• Develops and maintains expertise on key data governance trends, sharing relevant developments with stakeholders to inform strategic planning and right data strategy.
• Ensures team delivers high-quality analytical and data strategy deliverables according to plan, maintaining stakeholder trust through consistent excellence and timely execution.
• Identifies areas for process innovation and implements solutions with external and internal partners to enhance stakeholder value and decision-making capabilities.
• Develops and nurtures a high-performing data management team, creating an environment of learning and growth that ultimately benefits stakeholder relationships and outcomes.
• Informs both high-level strategic trade-offs and operational execution for stakeholders, balancing long-term vision with practical implementation considerations.
• Coaches and develops Team Leads and managers in the functions to strengthen stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Maintains effective relationships with end stakeholders within data management and across teams, ensuring new technologies are leveraged to meet evolving business needs across engagements.
Performance
• Leads teams of analytics subject matter experts to address complex business challenges, ensuring appropriate expertise is deployed to meet stakeholder needs.
• Partners as a Data Strategy Consultant with cross-Business Unit teams across regions to deliver actionable insights and advise on data-driven solutions.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of analytics processes and programs, measuring impact and communicating value to key stakeholders.
• Helping to build or support centralized data solution to fulfil business objectives
• Setting up the ways of working with the team and onshore teams
• Monitors progress of data initiatives, proactively identifying potential roadblocks and providing solutions to stakeholder issues and queries.
• Shares analytics best practices across the organization, serving as a change agent to promote data-driven decision making.
• Acts as a facilitator for operational excellence in analytics, establishing standards and frameworks that enhance stakeholder collaboration and outcomes.
• Builds stakeholder trust through consistent delivery of high-quality insights that drive measurable business impact.
Process
• Ensure the team delivers projects effectively, focusing on resourcing, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and maintaining high standards.
• Contribute to overall quality enhancement by ensuring the team meets the defined/agreed quality parameters for their outputs.
• Managing the process or team expansion initiatives, involved in hiring and people management responsibilities
• Ensure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards.
• Ensuring right demand planning and optimizing resources
• Lead and implement operational excellence projects within the team, aligning with the overall direction from senior leadership.
• Develop and implement tools, technology, and processes to continuously improve quality and productivity.
• Identify synergies and redundancies across brands and global business units (GBUs) for common customers/business models, prioritizing information gaps and business challenges from global teams.
• Work cross-functionally to gather requirements, analyze data, and generate actionable insights and reports.
• Implements resource and back-up planning for analytics teams to ensure business continuity and consistent delivery of insights to stakeholders.
Stakeholder
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key business partners to understand their data needs and align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
• Communicate complex analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner that drives decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Facing, Brand Teams, Omnichannel etc.) to ensure analytics solutions address their specific requirements and deliver measurable value.
• Manage expectations by establishing realistic timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables for analytics projects with all stakeholders.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing between analytics teams and business units to promote data literacy and adoption of insights-driven approaches.
• Represent the analytics function in leadership meetings, advocating for data-driven decision making and securing necessary resources and support.
• Proactively identify and address stakeholder concerns related to data quality, methodology, or implementation of analytics solutions.
• Develop and maintain a stakeholder engagement plan that prioritizes relationships based on influence, interest, and impact on analytics initiatives.
This role is essential for driving robust analytics and insights generation across all commercial functions, supporting Sanofi's mission to tackle some of the world's greatest health threats through informed decision-making and strategic planning.
About you Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with commercial analytics experience, understanding of key process such as Data Management, Data Strategy, Data Stewardship, Data Quality and Data Governance
• Extensive understanding of commercial operations and operating model.
• People Management experience for managing a team or function
• Familiarity with major business KPIs and processes
• In-depth understanding of Business Analytics, Forecasting, Data Management, Omnichannel Business Strategy, Market Access and Sales Force Operations in pharma industry
• In-depth understanding of key business databases such as IQVIA, APLD, DDD, Value centric, OneKey, Evaluate, DRG, etc.

Technical Skills:
• Strong qualitative and quantitative market analytics, and data analytics capabilities.
• Experience using analytical tools like SQL, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Informatica, Dataiku, Smartsheet, and Alteryx etc.
• Expert knowledge of Excel and proficiency in VBA.
• Knowledge of statistical and programming tools (SPSS, Q, or similar) a plus
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint) a must.
• Slide creation skills to develop creative and impactful presentations.
• Experience in developing and managing dashboards.
• Project management abilities to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and strategic thinking.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work effectively across all levels of stakeholders and diverse functions.
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing functions.
Education:
• Advanced degree in Management, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Analytics, or related fields (PhD, MBA, or master’s preferred).
Languages:
• Excellent knowledge of English with strong written and spoken communication skills.
