This role combines strong frontend engineering skills, an eye for usability, and technical curiosity to translate complex clinical workflows into intuitive, high-performance user interfaces. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, AI-minded, and passionate about crafting interfaces that make smarter, faster, and more effective clinical study design possible for the people who use them every day. Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build highly interactive, visually distinctive UI components using Angular 14–19+ with standalone architecture
• Build reusable, modular UI components and design systems.
• Translate abstract or ambiguous design concepts into polished, production-ready interfaces
• Write clean, type-safe code in TypeScript, styled with modern CSS/SCSS
• Manage complex asynchronous data flows using RxJS
• Implement secure authentication flows using Angular OAuth2 / OIDC
• Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services with front-end applications.
• Build and evolve a reusable component library/design system that balances consistency with creative flexibility
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance, accessibility, and usability.
• Handle asynchronous data flows, error handling, and state management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers (Python/FastAPI/Django), product managers, and stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends.
• Recommend improvements to architecture, frameworks, and development processes
Preferred Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience building production UI with Angular (Angular 14–19+, standalone component architecture)
• Strong command of TypeScript and modern CSS/SCSS (Grid, Flexbox, animations)
• Solid experience with RxJS for managing asynchronous data streams
• Knowledge of data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js, AG-Grid).
• Prior experience working with alternative frameworks (React.js, Vue.js) to support cross-platform modernization initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Experience with Angular OAuth2/OIDC components for authentication
• Exposure to backend technologies like FastAPI, Django/DRF, or PostgreSQL, enough to collaborate effectively with backend engineers
• Familiarity with AWS core services (S3, IAM) or cloud-based deployments
• Comfort handling data serialization for AI-powered features (e.g., structuring data for AI prompts, working with HTTP clients)
• Understanding of JSON, XML, and HTML parsing structures
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools like Grafana Faro for real-time user monitoring
• Solid Gitlab, GitHub workflow experience (branching, merging, PR reviews)
• Interest or experience working on AI/ML-powered product features
