Iovance Biotherapeutics aims to be the global leader in innovating, developing and delivering tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for people with cancer. Overview

The Senior Logistics and Planning Associate will coordinate supply planning and logistics activities across multiple clinical studies and commercial in support of Iovance Biotechnologies goals and objectives. This position will be based in San Carlos, CA.

Specific Responsibilities

• Manages order process from order generation, changes, shipment and final delivery. Implement key performance measures to continuously refine and improve the product transport and on-time delivery at the lowest cost.

• Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of the scheduling software system, driving new iterations, and enhancements to support evolving clinical trial requirements across end-to-end logistics, chain of custody, real-time tracking, and CMO capacity management

• Co-lead the ongoing development of the commercial scheduling system, partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless alignment between clinical and commercial operational needs.

• Work closely with the Director of Logistics and Planning to assist Commercial, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Quality Operations to develop logistic support in the execution of the production plan and patient schedules

• Support logistics operations, including evening and weekend availability to ensure continuity across all operational windows

• Troubleshoot and develop plans of action for both expected & unanticipated logistical issues during the transport of patient material and product

• Develops, authors, and implements standard operating procedures and work instructions for logistics related processes

• Proactively manages the sourcing, onboarding, performance and relationship of logistics couriers

• Effectively support Clinical and Commercial Operations with new site onboarding

• Implement key performance measures to continuously refine and improve the product transport and on-time delivery at the lowest cost.

• Collaborates effectively with multiple individuals and organizations in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment

• Actively participate in Product/Study Teams to align demand/supply plans to program milestones and activities

• Prepares, reviews and presents data, reports and presentations as assigned

• Interface with all levels of organization, including senior management

• Other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• 3-5 years in a related supply chain/planning/logistics role. Ideally, experience planning for time critical and temperature sensitive products.

• Ability to work with multiple database and electronic systems. Experience with Oracle/ERP, courier, and material ordering portals, considered a plus

• Must display strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail required

• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

• Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex problems using multiple sources of information

• Good business acumen, ability to think strategically and analytically, including financial analysis

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including presentations and ability to influence all levels of staff, including executives

• Skilled with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering a timely and high-quality end work product

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.

• Must be able to move about inside an office and exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

• Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, and extensive reading.

• This position requires repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

• Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional or remote office environment and requires operating standard office equipment and keyboards.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is listed. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant education, experience and skills.

Pay Transparency $130,000—$150,000 USD
