Senior Manager / Associate Director, Market Access Policy Research

Key Responsibilities 1. Policy Research & Foresight

• Monitor and assess key healthcare policy developments, including reimbursement, pricing, volume-based procurement (VBP), DRG/DIP reform, and other pharmaceutical and healthcare policy initiatives.

• Provide forward-looking policy analysis and impact assessments to identify opportunities, risks, and implications for pricing, market access, and business strategy.

• Maintain policy monitoring databases and competitive benchmarking tools to support timely policy tracking and evidence-based decision-making.

2. Market Access Policy Advocacy and Think Tank & Academic Engagement

• Manage policy research projects and external partnerships with think tanks, academic institutions, industry associations, and KOLs to generate insights supporting market access strategy and business priorities.

• Support policy advocacy initiatives on key healthcare reform topics through policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based recommendations that advance patient access and healthcare innovation.

• Contribute to the development of white papers, policy briefs, expert consensus documents, and policy forums to strengthen the company's thought leadership and external influence on priority market access issues.

3. Internal Support & Capability Building

• Support key market access projects by providing policy research, evidence generation, and strategic insights for reimbursement, access, and healthcare policy initiatives.

• Deliver policy intelligence, training, and interpretation to cross-functional teams to strengthen organizational capabilities and policy understanding.

• Partner with Global Market Access and international policy teams to leverage global insights and best practices in support of local market access strategies.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Master’s degree or above, preferably in health policy, public health, health economics, social security, economics, pharmacy or medicine.

• 5+ years of relevant experience, with any of the following backgrounds: • Pharmaceutical / medical device MNC (market access, government affairs, medical affairs or HEOR roles); or

• Universities, research institutes or government think tanks (health policy, medical insurance or health economics research); or

• Top-tier consulting firm (healthcare practice);

• Proven track record of policy research or advocacy deliverables is highly preferred.

• strong bilingual (Chinese and English) working capability.
