This role is ideal for a strong senior engineer with deep ABAP expertise, solid cloud-native development experience, and the ability to support AI-enabled SAP solutions by connecting business processes, enterprise data, and modern extensibility patterns in partnership with architects, functional teams, integration teams, and business stakeholders.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and support SAP solutions across ABAP, SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, RAP, CAP, and related extensibility frameworks.

• Contribute to clean-core and side-by-side extension strategies, and apply development standards, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices across the SAP landscape.

• Design and develop advanced ABAP solutions including reports, interfaces, enhancements, APIs, workflows, BADIs, BAPIs, user exits, forms, and object-oriented components.

• Build and support modern applications on SAP Business Technology Platform using services such as Business Application Studio, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, Workflow, Event Mesh, and related BTP capabilities.

• Create and enhance SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications that deliver intuitive, scalable, and business-friendly user experiences.

• Partner closely with functional teams, enterprise architects, project teams, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical and sustainable technical solutions.

• Support project delivery, enhancements, and production support by contributing to solution reviews, effort estimation, code quality, and development governance.

• Troubleshoot complex SAP S/4HANA and BTP issues, perform root cause analysis, and guide teams through timely and effective resolution.

• Support integration design and development across SAP and non-SAP platforms using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architecture patterns.

• Support testing, deployment readiness, and production transition activities for new and enhanced solutions.

• Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to team members across ABAP, BTP, Fiori/UI5, RAP, CAP, and emerging SAP development capabilities.

• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for custom development, integrations, architecture decisions, and support processes.

• Help build team resilience by identifying and enabling appropriate backup support coverage as needed.

• Support and extend SAP Joule and related SAP Business AI capabilities by helping design conversational use cases, integrating backend services and enterprise content, and enabling practical AI-driven scenarios with appropriate security, governance, and business context.

For Positions with regulatory relevance include following:

• Follow all relevant GXP regulations, guidelines, and company policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

• Execute tasks precisely as defined in internal guiding documents including but not limited to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

• Follow good Documentation Practices and Data integrity requirements to ensure data, documentation, and records are completed and maintained for use by business and available to support audits or inspections.

• Complete training in assigned required learning plan according to the defined timing and the prescribed qualification cadence.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 8+ years of SAP development experience, including deep expertise in ABAP and at least 3+ years of experience with SAP BTP development and extensibility.

• Strong hands-on experience across ABAP development, including RICEFW objects, object-oriented ABAP, enhancements, APIs, interfaces, workflows, forms, and debugging in SAP S/4HANA environments.

• Proven experience designing and developing SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications, including responsive and role-based user experiences.

• Deep knowledge of SAP BTP services and tools such as Business Application Studio, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, Workflow, Event Mesh, RAP, CAP, and related extension models.

• Experience in applying clean-core principles, side-by-side extensibility, and modern SAP development best practices in solution design and implementation.

• Hands-on or strong working knowledge of SAP Business AI capabilities, including SAP Joule, Joule Studio, AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, and related SAP BTP AI services, with the ability to evaluate and support enterprise AI use cases.

• Understanding of prompt design, grounding enterprise content and data for AI scenarios, and core governance considerations such as security, authorization, privacy, and responsible use when enabling SAP AI solutions.

• Strong understanding of integration patterns across SAP and non-SAP platforms, including APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, functional, and business teams.

• Demonstrated experience contributing to technical delivery, reviewing solution designs, and supporting high-quality implementation outcomes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
