Director, Market Access & Insights, DHH India Capability Hub

Our Digital Human Health (DHH) organization is redefining how we understand patients, providers and markets, leveraging digital, data, analytics and AI to drive more precise, faster and impactful decisions across the product lifecycle. As part of this ambition, we are entering a phase of heightened complexity and scale in Market Access & Insights (MAI), driven by multiple upcoming launches, evolving access and pricing dynamics, MFN implications and emerging customer models. This requires MAI to evolve to an integrated, AI-enabled, insight‑driven and transformation‑enabled capability.

The Director, Market Access & Insights (India Hub) will play a pivotal leadership role in this evolution, strengthening leadership presence in India while driving capability transformation and deeper alignment with global stakeholders. This role will ensure the organization can navigate portfolio‑level trade‑offs, scale sustainably and embed AI‑enabled ways of working in a rapidly changing environment.

The role sits on the MAI Leadership Team and the India Hub Delivery Leadership Team, partnering closely with Global Market Access (GMAX), Payer Marketing, franchise teams and DHH capabilities. The position reports to the Executive Director, DHH India Hub Delivery and would be based out of Pune or Hyderabad with international and domestic travel as required by business.

Key responsibilities:

• Transformation & Deep Domain Expertise • Lead the transformation of the MAI capability, embedding AI‑enabled solutions, evolving workflows and driving change management to support increasing scale, complexity and speed of decision‑making

• Provide strategic thought partnership to GMAX and Payer Marketing teams, driving agent-ready data‑driven decisions across payer landscape, pricing strategy, reimbursement, HTA and patient access

• Delivery Excellence • Act as the single‑point leader for the MAI capability in India, strengthening leadership bandwidth to partner with global teams on portfolio‑level prioritization, MFN implications and access & pricing

• Enable end‑to‑end delivery of MAI initiatives, including payer insights, pricing and contracting strategy, policy and landscape assessments, patient affordability, and economic modelling

• Drive portfolio‑level governance and prioritization, including demand shaping, quarterly business reviews, and alignment with Forecasting, PMR and broader DHH priorities

• Capability Growth & Workforce Strategy • Lead the build‑out of an in‑house capability focused on contract management, operations, data reporting, analytics management, systems operations, customer contracting and trade constracting as an integrated, governed and scalable model

• Lead a high‑performing MAI team in India, anchored in deep therapeutic expertise, advanced analytics and digital capabilities, while actively nurturing talent through structured career pathing, coaching and capability development, enabling BU‑aligned integration of research and analytics and strong cross‑functional collaboration across DHH and franchise teams

Required Experience and Skills:

• Required : BA/BS in Business / Marketing / Healthcare Preferred : Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD)

• 10+ years of experience, with relevant expertise in market access, pricing, advanced analytics, market research, strategic planning, marketing or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

• 5+ years of people leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing dynamic and high performing teams

• Significant experience in leading transformation and change management

• Understanding of payer landscapes, pricing & reimbursement dynamics and contract execution workflows

• Strong experience in contracting operations, pricing strategy support or commercial/access operations and demonstrated experience in building or scaling operational or capability teams, including defining structure, processes and governance

• Experience working with data, reporting systems and analytics platforms supporting access, contracting or commercial operations

• Deep therapeutic area (TA) knowledge in Oncology, Rare Diseases, Vaccines and Pharma, including strategic implications across launch and pipeline products

• Strong experience in contracting operations, pricing strategy support, or commercial / access operations

• Ability to translate global franchise business needs into digital, data and insight-driven solutions

• Understanding of how digital/data and analytics functions collaborate with enterprise stakeholders

• Experience shaping and implementing global engagement models within commercial digital organizations

• Demonstrated success deploying global capabilities and tailoring them for regional or local execution

• Proven track record of leading globally distributed teams to deliver aligned, enterprise-wide solutions
