Director, Data Products, DHH India
Our Digital Human Health (DHH) organization is charged with innovating how we understand our patients and their needs. Working cross functionally, we are inventing new ways of engaging with our customers and patients by leveraging digital, data and analytics to measure our organizational impact.
The Director, Data Products, based in Hyderabad, India, will be a strategic partner to business stakeholders across the US, International, and India to enable value-driven decision-making. The individual will lead a team of professionals responsible for planning, prioritizing, managing, and executing work across the company’s Human Health portfolio. This individual is expected to be collaborative and a thought leader, a strong team player, and to interact with multiple internal and external groups to influence decision-making for the teams they support, while working closely with their value team leader. This role requires an understanding of the pharma domain, data strategy, data product implementation, and vendor management, as well as an affinity and eagerness to change ways of working with an AI-driven mindset.
The Director, Data Products will work alongside other DHH teams to help connect the dots across DHH cross-functional teams and will lead the planning and delivery of a complex data ecosystem. The individual will build strong relationships and collaborate with various cross-functional teams across the US, International, and India. This role will report to the DHH India Hub leader. This role will be part of DHH DSPI Leadership Team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Strategic Leadership: • Lead the vision and roadmap for data products and innovation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data for competitive advantage and business growth.
• Drive digital transformation through advanced data capabilities and emerging technologies.
• Data Products & Delivery: • Oversee the design, development, and lifecycle management of data products and platforms.
• Lead and manage engagements with AWS, Databricks, and other partners, as required.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and reusable data solutions.
• Drive agile delivery models and ensure timely execution across multiple programs.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure delivery excellence across US and International markets.
• AI & Advanced Analytics Data Product Enablement: • Drive development and adoption of AI-enabled data products and solutions, including: • Unstructured data processing and insights.
• Marketing Copilot and Field Copilot solutions.
• Field and Performance Reporting products.
• Lead the enablement of AI-driven data products in areas such as: • Content analytics (e.g., content performance, personalization, experimentation)
• Adobe and digital marketing data products (e.g., journey analytics, campaign performance, omnichannel optimization)
• Partner closely with analytics, marketing, and digital teams to ensure data products are designed to support AI/ML and advanced measurement needs.
• Stakeholder Management: • Engage with senior stakeholders across business, CD&AO, and analytics functions globally.
• Translate business needs into actionable data initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on data-driven decision-making.
• Manage expectations, priorities, and communication across complex stakeholder ecosystems.
• Team Leadership & Talent Development: • Lead and scale a high-performing team of 100+ professionals.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive capability building in data strategy, engineering, governance, and analytics.
• Mentor leaders and build a strong leadership pipeline.
Required Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data strategy, data product, analytics, or digital transformation.
• Proven experience managing large global teams (100+).
• Strong domain experience in Human Health / Life Sciences / Healthcare.
• Experience working across US and International markets.
• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-scale data programs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a talent for effectively communicating complex concepts to a wide range of global stakeholders.
• Relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Experience in digital, specialty pharmacy, and patient analytics as part of a commercial pharma data ecosystem.
• Prior experience with commercial pharma data management processes as part of company merger & acquisition scenarios, with strong acumen to make buy vs. build decisions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and execute solutions to complex or ambiguous business problems.
• Experience working in multinational corporations with geographically distributed teams and matrix reporting lines.
