About the role

The Senior Director, Enterprise Transformation & Change is responsible for defining and leading the organisation’s enterprise-wide transformation and change strategy, ensuring that business, technology, people, operating model, workforce transition and AI-enabled change programmes deliver measurable value, productivity gains, faster decision-making, improved employee experience and sustainable outcomes.

As a strategic partner to senior executives, this role shapes the future organisation by driving adoption of new operating models, accelerating digital and AI transformation, building organisational capability, and ensuring that leaders and employees are equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment. The role leads a global team of change, communications, learning and transformation professionals and serves as a trusted advisor to the IT Leadership Teams.

Key Accountabilities Enterprise Transformation Leadership

• Define and execute the enterprise transformation and change strategy aligned to corporate priorities and business objectives.

• Partner with Executive Leadership Teams to shape large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives.

• Ensure transformation investments deliver sustainable business outcomes, productivity improvements and value realisation.

• Shape future operating models, workforce implications and human-AI ways of working required to deliver transformation outcomes.

• Lead organisational readiness across multiple concurrent transformation programmes.

• Establish enterprise standards, governance and best practices for change management, adoption and value tracking.

• Ensure transformation programmes are designed with adoption, behaviour change, capability uplift and value realisation embedded from the outset

AI Transformation and Adoption

• Own the enterprise people strategy for AI-driven transformation, including workforce readiness, role redesign, leadership enablement and sustainable behaviour change.

• Develop and execute enterprise AI adoption frameworks to maximise business value from AI investments.

• Ensure employees and leaders develop the skills, behaviours and mindsets required to work effectively with AI.

• Establish measures for AI adoption, utilisation, productivity improvement and value realisation.

• Define and track leading and lagging indicators for AI adoption, utilisation, productivity, risk and value delivery, intervening where outcomes are off track.

• Drive responsible AI practices, ensuring alignment with governance, ethics, compliance and risk frameworks.

• Lead change and communications strategies for generative AI, automation and digital workforce initiatives.

• Build enterprise AI fluency, including manager capability, experimentation mindsets, prompt literacy and effective human-AI collaboration

Executive Stakeholder Leadership

• Influence and challenge senior executives to accelerate transformation outcomes.

• Build alignment across multiple leadership teams and stakeholders with competing priorities.

• Act as the senior change advisor for major enterprise programmes.

• Advise executives on investment priorities, sequencing and business readiness required to maximise value from AI and digital transformation.

• Facilitate executive decision-making through data-driven insights and transformation metrics.

• Represent transformation progress and outcomes at Executive and Board-level forums

Transformation Governance and Value Realisation

• Establish governance frameworks that ensure accountability for adoption and business outcomes.

• Develop leading and lagging indicators that track transformation success.

• Monitor benefits realisation and intervene when programmes are not delivering intended outcomes.

• Drive continuous improvement through insights, analytics and lessons learned

Organisational Culture and Leadership

• Champion a culture of innovation, experimentation, continuous learning and adaptability.

• Foster leadership capability to effectively lead through ambiguity and disruption.

• Embed change leadership as a core organisational capability.

• Build communities of practice that accelerate transformation knowledge and capability across the enterprise.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global team of change, communications, learning and transformation professionals.

• Create a high-performing culture focused on innovation, accountability and delivery.

• Sponsor enterprise-wide capability-building initiatives.

• Coach senior leaders on transformation leadership and AI adoption

Essential Experience

• Significant experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programmes within a complex global organisation.

• Proven track record partnering with Executive Committee or Senior Leadership Teams.

• Experience delivering large-scale digital, technology and organisational transformation initiatives.

• Strong experience influencing stakeholders across global matrix organisations.

• Experience developing and executing enterprise change management, communications and adoption strategies.

• Proven experience leading enterprise AI adoption and workforce transformation at scale.

• Track record of delivering measurable value realisation from AI, automation or digital transformation in a complex, regulated environment.

Preferred

• Experience leading AI, automation or digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience implementing Generative AI solutions on a scale.

• Background in technology, digital transformation or business transformation functions.

• Experience operating in highly regulated environments.
