The Position:

The Prosigna Sales Training Manager is responsible for executing the annual training plan and strategy. The Sales Training Manager assists in the development and is accountable for updating and executing it throughout the year. Key responsibilities include successful onboarding of new sales representatives through a comprehensive onboarding/training process and annual advanced training for more tenured sales representatives. The Sales Training Manager will work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs and other Veracyte personnel to plan, create and execute training workshops at sales meetings and quarterly online training throughout the year to meet strategic commercial and brand objectives. Develops and executes a comprehensive training curriculum for sales representatives that aligns with the company’s sales and marketing strategies to include (but not limited to)

• New Hire Training and Advanced Training

• Updates, writes and develops training content (in both written and video formats) with input from cross-functional departments

• Includes both at home study curriculum and live classroom curriculum

• Assists with administrative logistics and support materials

• Leads classroom sales training

• Responsible for onboarding of new sales hires including training calls, participating in ride alongs and coordinating ride alongs with existing sales team members

• Ensures training programs support the changing needs of the business - new customers, new products, new product extensions and new markets

• Conducts ongoing gap analyses and leverages insights from the commercial team to inform the training strategies and update curriculum as needed

• Assesses the individual results and overall effectiveness of the delivered training; create proficiency and competency assessments for internal stakeholders

• Utilizes a variety of learning techniques that are effective and appropriate for individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences

• Evaluates sales rep performance during training and provides feedback to the Regional Sales Directors (RSD) and key stakeholders.

• Training other Business Unit new hires

• Leads training for any new employees outside the sales team within the Business Unit

• Works with the Marketing team to plan, create and execute virtual or in person training modules for new sales resources and product enhancements

• Participates in commercial strategic planning process (annual brand and tactical plan)

• Responsible for MLR approval of training material and ensures that training program follows all regulatory and compliance requirements

• Collaborative team player, works cooperatively with others to help the team achieve its goals, proactively reaches out to partners, communicates and aligns on goals, priorities and roles & responsibilities, follows up and courageously communicates and triages issues as they arise.

• Strategic agility: a continuous learner with strong curiosity. Able to reduce complex problems into relevant components, synthesize information and feedback to develop a cohesive and practical solution. Able to identify assumptions, risks, and changing variables flexing the plan based on changing conditions. Required Qualifications

• 7+ years successful experience in commercial sales training or equivalent medical/biotech/pharmaceutical industry

• 4-year degree in business, life sciences, healthcare, education, or related field; or equivalent experience

• Familiarity in commercial medical sales into physician offices in the IVD or LDT space

• Regional or National Sales Trainer or Sales Training experience (internally or externally), preferred

• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies, for both onsite and virtual trainings.

• Ability to travel 15-25% of the time – dependent on the needs of in person training

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting breast cancer oncology products, diagnostics, or related therapeutic areas.

• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and facilitating sales training programs for field-based commercial teams.

• 2+ years Veracyte experience

For candidates based in our San Diego office, the range is $140,000 - $146,000

For candidates based in our South San Francisco office, the range is $150,000 - $175,000.

For candidates working remote (US), the range is $130,000 - $148,000.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Pay range $130,000—$148,000 USD
