Oncology

Reimagine the infrastructure of cancer care within a community that values integrity, inspires growth, and is uniquely positioned to create a more modern, connected oncology ecosystem. We're looking for an advanced practice provider to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care?

What You'll Do

As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on the Clinical Oncology Team, you will leverage your dual expertise in urology or urologic oncology and genomics to inform the design, development, and optimization of Flatiron Health's point of care products, tools, and services. The Clinical Oncology Urologic Oncology/Genomics APP will play a critical role in bridging urologic oncology clinical practice with genomic insights and testing decision support at the point of care. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert uniquely positioned at the intersection of urologic oncology, clinical practice, and precision medicine.

Over the 6-month contract period, you will bring deep, demonstrated expertise in both clinical oncology with a focus on urologic oncology and genomic testing—including test selection, result interpretation, and subsequent patient care decisions informed by molecular insights—to accelerate our product development and clinical strategy initiatives.

Clinical-Genomics Product Expert

• Serve as the subject matter expert in urologic oncology, urologic oncology workflows, and genomic testing strategies specific to urologic malignancies for Flatiron's product development teams.

• Interpret clinical guidelines and translate oncology-genomic workflows into actionable product requirements.

• Advise on standards of practice and workflows across the urology/urologic oncology space.

• Review and validate product features related to urologic oncology and genomic data capture, interpretation, and clinical decision support.

Product & Workflow Enhancement

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to inform and test enhancements to urologic oncology and genomic workflows in OncoEMR and other Flatiron products.

• Represent the voice of urologic oncology providers in product discovery, scoping, development, rollout, and maintenance phases.

• Surface real-world challenges from urologic oncology practices regarding genomic testing integration and translate them into actionable product requirements and process improvements.

Education & Enablement

• Develop and deliver educational resources (e.g., guides, presentations, webinars) to help urologic oncology practices utilize genomic testing recommendations, orders, and results in support of personalized patient care.

• Create training materials that bridge the gap between urologic oncology clinical practice and genomic interpretation for diverse audiences.

• Serve as a resource for Flatiron colleagues, providing clear explanations of urologic oncology-genomic concepts and their impact on product design and user experience.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on OncoEMR and workflows during go-lives at practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between urologic oncology clinical workflows, genomic decision support, product features, and business objectives.

• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions focused on the clinical implications of genomics in urologic oncology care.

• Stay current on advances in molecular diagnostics, targeted therapies, and precision medicine guidelines specific to urologic malignancies to inform ongoing product innovation.

Who You Are

You're a kind, passionate, and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are.

Required Qualifications:

• You are an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with at least 5 years of urology or oncology experience in a community or academic setting, with demonstrated expertise in urologic oncology.

• You have deep, hands-on expertise in genomic testing for urologic malignancies—including selecting appropriate NGS panels, interpreting molecular results, and directly applying those insights to treatment decisions for urologic oncology patients.

• You possess a comprehensive understanding of the clinical-genomics landscape as it applies to urologic oncology, including familiarity with NCCN Guidelines for urologic cancers, molecular diagnostics specific to prostate/bladder/kidney/testicular cancers, and precision medicine workflows in urologic oncology.

• You are an excellent communicator who can distill complex urologic oncology-genomic concepts for diverse audiences—product managers, engineers, designers, and other non-clinical stakeholders.

• You are passionate about education and have experience developing or delivering training on urologic oncology and/or clinical-genomics topics.

• You are collaborative, resourceful, and thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on improving cancer care through technology.

• You are available for intermittent travel in support of practice engagements and go lives.

• You are available for a 6-month contract engagement with flexibility to ramp up quickly and deliver impact in a defined timeframe.

Extra Credit:

• Experience with OncoEMR or similar oncology EHRs; experience with Flatiron Assist is a plus.

• Prior involvement in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives related to precision medicine in urologic oncology.

• Certification or advanced training in genomics or precision medicine.

• Experience presenting at oncology or urology conferences on genomic testing topics in urologic oncology.

• Prior contract or consulting experience in healthcare technology or product development.
