You will work in the US Neurology and Immunology team of the Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) department. The HEVA department gathers a wealth of expertise including experts in Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Indirect Treatment Comparison & Network Meta Analysis (ITC/NMA), Modelling, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), epidemiology, biostatistics, and generation of real word evidence (RWE). Main responsibilities:
This role will support tactical execution of US HEVA work for Neurology (Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) and Next Generation Immunology assets (Atopic Dermatitis, Celiac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, IgG4-related diseases, Nasal Polyps, etc.).
The primary responsibilities are to:
Strategic Business Impact & Technical Ability
• Design and execute Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR) research in the forms of economic modeling, database analysis, observational research, systematic literature review, evidence synthesis, post hoc analysis of clinical trials, AMCP dossier development and other types of HEOR studies/deliverables to support value demonstration and differentiation in US market
• Drive measurable business impact through execution of HEVA tactics that directly support commercial objectives and market access goals compliantly and efficiently
• Execute comprehensive US HEVA tactics for the Neurology and Immunology portfolios, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring alignment with broader portfolio objectives
• Partner with U.S. Medical Affairs/Value & Access to ensure appropriate use of HEOR evidence in field communications and training
• Collaborate with Value & Access, US Medical Affairs, and Policy teams to deliver evidence that informs value frameworks, PDAB and ICER responses, value-based contracting strategies, etc.
• Set HEOR evidence generation priorities independently for assigned Neurology and Immunology indications and translate Target Value Propositions and US market access strategies into evidence hypotheses, requirements, and generation plans that address the unmet needs of payers, providers, and health systems
Internal Partnerships and Management Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams — including commercial, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access — to ensure pricing and access decisions are aligned with the demonstrable value of the Neurology and Immunology pipelines
• Align closely with the Global HEVA team to ensure US insights inform global strategies and coordinate evidence generation, modeling, and evidence synthesis activities
• Communicate complex health economics concepts and strategic recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders with clarity and impact, including presentations to senior leadership
• Influence key business decisions through data-driven insights and strategic HEVA recommendations
• Ensure clinical development plans for Neurology and Immunology indications are designed to deliver true differentiation aligned to Sanofi's best-in-class or first-in-class ambition, with particular attention to US payer value demonstration
• Contribute to US launch readiness planning and execution for Neurology and Immunology launch assets
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
• Apply knowledge of global and US-specific HTA processes and guidelines; experience with HTA submissions strongly preferred
• Ensure all HEOR activities comply with relevant internal SOPs and external laws and regulations
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated integrity on compliance considerations and solid ethics
• Stay current with evolving US payer policies, formulary management practices, and outcomes-based contracting frameworks relevant to Neurology and Immunology
Digital & AI Proficiency (Nice to Have)
• Apply working proficiency with HEOR-relevant digital tools and data platforms to enhance the efficiency and quality of evidence generation
• Leverage digital and AI-enabled solutions to accelerate systematic literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and economic modeling workflows
• Understand the application of real-world data analytics and advanced data platforms to Neurology and Immunology evidence generation
• Maintain foundational knowledge of AI and digital tools relevant to health economics, including familiarity with data analytics platforms; demonstrate willingness to develop proficiency with new AI-enabled solutions to support HEOR research and evidence generation
• Stay current with emerging digital methodologies relevant to HEOR and champion their adoption within the Neurology and Immunology HEVA team
Stakeholder Engagement and External Partnerships
• Represent Sanofi at major scientific conferences and industry forums, leading abstract development and presentation delivery for the Neurology and Immunology portfolios
• Collaborate with external research partners and key opinion leaders to advance HEVA strategy and tactical plans in Neurology and Immunology
• Manage the US HEVA budget for the Neurology and Immunology portfolios, overseeing vendor contracts, research investments, and resource allocation to ensure delivery of evidence generation priorities within budget constraints
• Work with the team lead to engage with external evidence bodies (ICER, PDAB, IRA) and apply knowledge of their requirements to shape evidence generation and value demonstration strategies for Neurology and Immunology
About you
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), real-world evidence, or a related field within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or candidates with 5+ years of experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or non-clinical research setting will also be considered
• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS, MPH, or PharmD) in a scientific discipline
Soft skills:
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills
• Publication in peer-reviewed journals
• Strong ability to partner with HEVA colleagues and other (i.e. non-HEOR) functional areas
• Entrepreneurial, team spirit and ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Technical skills:
• Demonstrated experience in applying various HEOR methods. Understanding the principles of evidence-based medicine and clinical research
• Knowledge of US healthcare system and payer systems
• Experience in Neurology and/or Immunology preferred
• Experience in ICER reviews preferred
• Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry, demonstrated integrity on work-related compliance considerations and solid ethics
Languages: English fluent, both written and oral
