Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with cross functional drug development teams (Gilead Asset Teams) to guide, analyze, and make recommendations to influence investment decisions at various levels of governance, and maximize value for the organization
• Establish strong business partnerships with the Oncology clinical development teams to provide comprehensive financial support and ongoing analytics for clinical studies spend
• Drive development of meaningful financial analyses and create effective presentations to communicate conclusions and recommendations to the business
• Drive development and implementation of key process improvement initiatives. Proactively engage with Finance colleagues and business partners to develop continuous process improvements to planning, analyses and reporting
• Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures

• Business Savvy and Financial Acumen: The candidate will possess exceptional financial analytical and problem-solving skills. These skills must be balanced by sound business judgment.
• Project Leadership and Management: The candidate must possess the ability to actively lead and manage the execution of projects that involve cross-functional stakeholders. This includes providing guidance on project scope and timelines, integrating the work of multiple teams into project deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Team Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to align and motivate other team members to achieve objectives including financial results, timely and accurate reporting, transparency, and controls.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience
OR
Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility
• Solution oriented, with good analytical capabilities
• Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry and supporting R&D is preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently and as an effective member of the team
• Experience with project reporting, operational accounting and reporting is required
• Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task environment
• Must have familiarity with SAP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of TM1 is a plus

The salary range for this position is: $182,070.00 - $235,620.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
