Brief Job Profile Description Lead the change and communications strategy for the GBS COO organization. As a key member of GBS Communication & Engegament Team, you will ensure a best-in-class, employee & customer-centric approach to communication, engagement, and change across the GBS COO organization. Partner closely with COO teams, Corporate Affairs, and wider business communications communities to deliver consistent messaging, strengthen employee engagement, support organizational transformation, and enhance the employee and customer experience.
Typical Accountabilities
Strategic Communications
• Develop and execute a comprehensive end-to-end communications strategy aligned with COO, GBS, and enterprise priorities.
• Ensure consistent, timely, and impactful communications that support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Communication Planning
• Create and maintain an integrated communications and engagement calendar across the GBS COO organization.
• Design innovative and creative engagement approaches that connect employees across geographies, functions, and leadership levels.
Leadership Communications
• Partner with the GBS COO Leadership Team and key stakeholders to develop and deliver engaging leadership communications.
• Plan and execute Town Halls, leadership forums, all-hands meetings, and other employee engagement events utilizing modern digital tools and platforms.
Content Development
• Develop compelling written, visual, and multimedia content including:
• Leadership messages
• Business updates
• Presentations
• Videos
• Infographics
• Organizational announcements
• Change communications
Data-Driven Communications
• Monitor employee feedback, engagement metrics, communication analytics, and sentiment data to evaluate effectiveness.
• Provide recommendations and continuously adjust communication strategies to maximize understanding, engagement, and impact.
Change Enablement
• Lead the design and delivery of communication and engagement strategies supporting organizational change initiatives.
• Partner with change leaders to ensure smooth transitions during transformation programs, organizational redesigns, technology implementations, and process improvements.
Local and Functional Communications
• Collaborate with site leads and functional leaders to develop location-specific communication plans while maintaining alignment to enterprise messaging.
• Ensure consistency of communication standards, tone, and key messages across all COO locations.
Service and Business Communications
• Develop targeted messaging and communication campaigns supporting COO services, programs, and initiatives.
• Support service launches, business updates, and continuous improvement initiatives through effective communications.
Storytelling & Executive Support
• Support senior leaders in developing compelling narratives and strategic stories for employees, customers, and key stakeholders.
• Create content and presentations for leadership forums, executive reviews, and business updates.
Employee & Customer Engagement
• Drive awareness, understanding, and adoption of COO programs and services through ongoing campaigns and engagement activities.
• Strengthen employee and customer satisfaction through effective communications and relationship-building initiatives.
Event Management
• Lead the planning and execution of onsite, virtual, and hybrid events across the COO organization.
• Manage event logistics, content development, stakeholder coordination, and post-event measurement.
Qualifications and Skills Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field;
• Experience executing communications programs; Media relations and/or internal channel experience;
• Vendor/agency coordination;
• Budget management exposure;
• Strong coordination, collaboration, organisation and multi‑tasking skills.\
Desirable:
• Knowledge of the shared services industry and healthcare sector, with the ability to understand and translate complex business, scientific or medical information into clear, engaging communications for a wide range of audiences.
• Combines strong communications expertise with an understanding of the operational and stakeholder dynamics of global organisations.

• External: Public relations and other communications service providers
