Medical Educator, WHC
The Medical Educator, Women’s Healthcare (WHC) articulates an in-depth understanding of franchise portfolio and disease state to a targeted customer base. The incumbent demonstrates clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in the specified therapeutic area in order to educate customers, HCPs, and the community on Bayer products and disease state(s) for which they are indicated. This includes didactic presentations, franchise specific scientific discussions of somewhat narrow scope, and hands-on training of device insertion where applicable. The incumbent may also develop and maintain relationships with identified customers groups as appropriate to align with franchise and regional strategy. The Medical Educator also shares enhanced clinical knowledge via peer-to-peer dialogue as appropriate and executes educational opportunities identified during compliant collaboration with Bayer field teams while maintaining the highest degree of integrity. The Medical Educator openly asks for and provides feedback in working with cross functional partners and external stakeholders to improve strategic relationships. The Medical Educator values diversity of thought and fosters inclusive behaviors that support Bayer’s One Team approach in day-today activities and companywide initiatives alike.
This role will cover the following territory: TX, LA, AR, OK, KS, MO and candidates need to be domiciled within the territory.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Medical Educator, WHC, are to:
Scientific Expertise:
• Complete core training curriculum and basic ME and Therapeutic Area (TA) Certification;
• Demonstrated accountability to continuous learning and growth (Franchise data, ME role, Soft Skills, Personal Development). Completes recertification where applicable;
• Professional licensure with CEU documentation where applicable · Participate in regular full Field Medical Team Journal Clubs and trainings;
• Staff Medical Education booth at regional and national medical conferences.
Education:
• Responsible for educating HCPs on the safe and effective use of Bayer products including didactic presentations and hands-on training of device insertion where applicable. Assists with appropriate patient identification in targeted offices and healthcare settings;
• Responds to requests from Bayer teams to interact with HCPs to provide described educational sessions;
• Where appropriate, provides reactive answers to off label questions of limited scope and document appropriately within the CRM;
• Adherence to SOP and FDA guidance for distribution of scientific information;
• Adherence to SOP and compliance guidelines for all external contacts.
Insights:
• Collects and communicates customer insights to inform development of effective customer education tools to enhance safe and effective use of Bayer products.
Collaboration:
• Provides compliant collaboration with and support for Bayer field force in growing the clinical comfort level with our current customers regarding Bayer products. Educates field force on product information, disease state information, and emerging treatments as appropriate.
New Ways of Working (Data collection / analysis / interpretation):
• Complete all required customer activity documentation, training, expense reporting, and other administrative responsibilities in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner;
• Leverage resources and platforms to ensure customer-centric approach to data dissemination and education;
• Responsible for reviewing program details and analyzing for prioritization with the territory.
Working Relations:
• The Medical Educator primarily interacts with Healthcare Providers and Bayer field team members. This is a unique position within the organization as these highly trained, field-based individuals with clinical degrees represent Bayer to its external customers via routine proactive presentations and responses to requests for additional education;
• As appropriate, Medical Educators may also interact with office staff and patients related to specific franchise initiatives;
• Exhibits a growth mindset and is eager to receive and to give feedback when working across various stakeholder groups.

Required Qualifications:
• Nursing degree required (RN, BSN);
• Active license in good standing required (non-practicing status but in good standing acceptable);
• Exhibits excellent presentation and platform skills;
• Demonstrates self-starter mentality and accountability for actions and results;
• A working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements is needed;
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills are required to effectively carry out the responsibilities of this position;
• Ability to build productive and strategic work relationships both internally and externally;
• Individuals must possess strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication;
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and related programs;
• A willingness to travel frequently within assigned geographical territory, including overnight and occasional weekend travel. May be requested to travel out of territory to attend meetings and assist with coverage;
• Ability to Collaborate and Connect;
• Ability to partner and collaborate across Bayer teams;
• Valid Driver’s License and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines base on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (NP, PA, CNM);
• Teaching experience;
• Minimum two years clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience such as field based medical, clinical educator/trainer, medical information preferred but not required;
• TA clinical experience preferred but not required.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $110,480 to $165,720. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
