PMO Senior Expert
PURPOSE In today’s complex business landscape, we rely on efficient project management to drive success and achieve our strategic goals. The Project Management Office Senior Expert at GBS supports project managers and their teams in the successful delivery of individual projects. He / she provides guidance, best practices, templates, and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency in project management practices.
YOUR TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work as part of the global Project Management Office (PMO) within GBS, developing best practice project management standards and methodologies aligned to best industry practices
• Proactively tailors project management workplans and templates to the Project Community needs whilst ensuring commitment to company standards and guidelines.
• Leads the development and update of training materials, which enable continuous competency growth of GBS Project Management teams e.g., through contribution to the Project Management skill in GBS’ Capability Framework.
• Interfaces with the GBS Quality Assurance organization to ensure correct risk management practices are in place to safeguard financial impacts arising through GBS Projects.
• Leverages agile project management tools and techniques to facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and transparency across the organization.
• Pursues experimentation, creative thinking, and knowledge sharing to drive innovation in project delivery e.g., coordinates mechanisms such as innovation labs, cross-functional collaboration platforms, and idea management systems to capture and implement innovative ideas.
• Prepare, facilitate, and conduct project management trainings to different GBS teams to ensure familiarity with existing and new project management practices and methodologies.
• Coordinate global activities and act as a technical point of contact to comply with projects transformation methodology
WHO YOU ARE
• University or commercial degree in Project Management, Business, or related field
• +5 years’ experience working in a project management environment
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, Agile certifications highly valued
• Strong familiarity with project management practices and methodologies
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, leveraging those skills across different cultures and functions
• PowerApps, PowerAutomate and MS Office applications
• Consultancy experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Proven skills in facilitation, training and collaboration with various stakeholders
