Main responsibilities:
• Execution of small-scale egg inoculation and harvest and characterization testing including PCR and hemagglutination
• Protein purification and characterization testing including SDS-PAGE, western blot, and chromatography
• SRID testing and analysis
• Support execution of small-scale experiments in support of time to market activities
• Perform data analysis and publish protocols, reports, and procedures
• Order and maintain supplies and ship materials as needed
• Assist with sample management between reassortant lab, reagent lab, seed lab, Flu Pilot Plant, and Analytical Sciences
• Support technical process improvements
• Define/manage deliverables and objectives for safe and compliant execution
• Coach/mentor junior personnel and maintain technical knowledge in workforce
About You Basic Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Virology, Microbiology or any related field with academical experience or knowledge of cGMP environments OR bachelor’s degree in biology, Virology, Microbiology or any related field with 2+ years of experience in a cGMP environment.
Technical skills:
• Influenza viral work experience, including egg handling, hemagglutination assay, and infectivity assay
• Experience with egg-based viral vaccine production processes
• Experience with laboratories techniques including hemagglutination assay, PCR, SDS-PAGE, and chromatography
• Knowledge of flu reassortant development
• Experience with basic laboratory techniques
• Sequencing viral genes preferred

Terms of employment
• The hired candidate will have no direct reports.
• The candidate will work during normal business hours (8am-5pm Monday – Friday), but occasional work outside of these hours may be necessary. Hybrid modality: 4 days On-site and 1 day at home.
