Main responsibilities: RD Diagnostics (Primary Focus):
• Lead end-to-end rare disease diagnostics projects across local and global initiatives, ensuring clear milestones, measurable outcomes, and robust documentation.
• Proactively collaborate with appropriate cross functional team to help coordinate work streams related to the TW/HK portfolio initiative, to enhance the existing diagnostics portfolio and satisfy medical and customer’s unmet needs.
• Maintain and continuously improve program documentation and digital platforms to enhance efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• With the broad portfolio and development knowledge obtained as part of the coordination engagements, provide appropriate feedback and input to the different ongoing projects to avoid duplicate work and ensure project connectivity and awareness.
• Serve as the key liaison for operational, legal, compliance, quality, and procurement matters, ensuring seamless program execution.
• Contribute to strategic budget planning and develops metrics frameworks to track and communicate diagnostic program impact.
• Along with the RD medical and cross-functional teams, help identify areas of need in diagnostics and scientific affairs as guided by the strategic imperatives of the relevant medical affairs team.
• Participate in development of strategies and implementation plans for diagnostic activities and other scientific affairs projects.
• Partner with local/global diagnostics colleagues to ensure seamless communication and synchronized execution of diagnostic programs.
• Monitor RD diagnostic trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for portfolio enhancement
• Collaborate with Hong Kong stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align and execute diagnostic strategies adapted to local healthcare system dynamics. Occasional business travel to Hong Kong required.
TA Medical Affairs:
• Provide medical affairs support for assigned RD TAs in Taiwan, including KOL engagement, scientific communication, medical education, real-world evidence generation, insight generation and cross-functional collaboration on strategy development and execution meeting company and brand objectives.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups, and medical societies to advance rare disease awareness, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Conduct medical affairs activities including medical inquiry, pharmacovigilance, clinical studies funded by medical.
• Ensure the scientific integrity of sponsored and supported research, information, and relationships with healthcare providers and patient advocacy groups within the geographic area.
• Provide medical support including medical advice and disease/product training to Sales, Marketing or other relevant cross-function teams.
• Review promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure compliance of global and local standard operating procedure.
• Embrace evolving priorities in a dynamic RD environment or duties assigned by supervisor.
About you
Education
• Master of Science diploma major in health care-related (e.g. pharmacy, pharmacology) or biological science-related fields (e.g. biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology) required. Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
Experience & Knowledge
• Minimum 3 years of successful Medical experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Experience or strong interest in rare disease, genetic disorders, or specialty care is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple therapeutic areas or projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic pathways, genetic testing, or newborn screening programs is a plus.
• Solid understanding of clinical trial practices and local regulations as well as recognize company’s core value.
• Strong knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem, including patient support and education.
• Strong strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills with ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence across functions.
• Good understanding of product and market dynamics in specialty/rare disease.
• Strong presentation and scientific communication skills.
